I was extremely happy when I just read over at CTU that Channing Tatum will be taking on the roll as Duke in the GI Joe movie. This excites me because first of all I’m a huge Channing Tatum fan. That boy just looks yummy no matter what he’s doing and secondly because I spent more time playing with my GI Joe dolls as a child than I did playing with Barbie dolls.

Actually the only time I pulled out my Barbie’s was when I wanted one of my GI Joe’s to get married. I had the Barbie dream house, but I convinced my dad to let me paint some of the rooms to look like barracks. I had everything set up totally Army style. What can I say? I was never very girlie, and even though I had my moments as a teenager when I wanted to dress up in the cutest dress and heels I never really grew out of my tomboy phase.

Anyway, back to the movie. It looks like GI Joe will start filming in LA on February 13th, and it’s set to release in theaters on August 7, 2009. I seriously can’t wait!
