I’m so glad I finally booked our vacation for our anniversary. Going to the beach for 4 days will really help me with all this stress I think. It’ll be nice, quiet, and relaxing. We’ll be going to Edisto Island, and we’ll have a nice quiet little beach house.
I’ve been trying to make a list of things I need to buy before we go and things we need to take with us. Hubby wants to take his golf clubs so he can possibly hit the golf course down there on the island, but I’ll have to see if I can get him a few replacement clubs. His clubs are pretty old and beat up…they were his dad’s old ones. I might have to see what Callaway golf clubs I could afford for him. Even if I could just get him 1 new driver I think it’d be worth it.
For me, I’m just taking the basics…a few nice books to read and my camera. My idea of the perfect vacation is sitting on the beach reading and enjoying my surroundings. I thought about taking my laptop, but then I decided against it. It’s been a long time since I had a weekend away from the computer, and I think I might just need that. If I decided I want to quickly blog about something I can just as easily use my cell phone. Other than that I’d have no real reason why I’d even need my computer. Any pictures I take I can share when we get back.
Now, September 20th just needs to hurry up and get here so we can celebrate our anniversary at the beautiful beach!
How often do you look at auto insurance comparisons? Do you wait until it’s just about time to renew your insurance policy, or do you check for new quotes all the time? I can’t believe how many people never check different quotes to see if they could possibly save money on their insurance. Even if I’m absolutely certain my current company is the cheapest I still grab a comparison to see.
How do I do it? I try to request quotes from different companies at least once every couple months. No, you don’t have to wait until your current policy is running out to switch. For months my bike insurance quoted the same, then one month it suddenly changed and two other companies started offering me a policy for a much lower price. Because I stayed on top of it I was able to switch and save about $400 a year. It pays to keep an eye on things, especially where money is concerned.
I decided to take a break from sorting scrap kits. I did a little shopping, bought a few things I’ve really wanted. Then I headed over to Amazon to see if they had the steam mop I want any cheaper than Target. They didn’t. I took a look at some cute baby bedding that I love even though I don’t have a need for it. I especially love the Star Baby set since I’m all about celestial stuff. My time clock is ticking away doing a number on me tonight screaming baby please!
I got fed up with looking at all the stuff I’d love to buy for my babies if I had any, so I loaded up Yahoo Games, and after 5 minutes of the typical problems I finally made it into a game of Towers. I played 2 rounds and lost big time. On the third game I got in my groove. I was kicking major towers butt, and then it happened.
The lights blinked and both computers start rebooting. Stupid power company. Our lights have flickered every night for the past couple weeks, and the power company can’t give us an explanation. It’s not like it’s a little flicker. My pc’s can handle that. It’s not enough to completely shut everything off for a second, but it’s enough to cause my computers to feel the need for a reboot. I think I shall call and complain again.
Everyone hates junk mail, and I rant all the time about it. I used to never receive junk mail at all in my main business email because I made sure I didn’t give it out to anyone other than clients. Unfortunately that’s not the case anymore. I delete hundreds of messages daily. Most of them aren’t even the scam emails anymore. They’re just questions.
Interested in San Diego business law? Need quality medication without a prescription? Need virus protection for an outrageous price?
It’s not that I don’t need San Diego business law services or medication. I just don’t need people flooding my inbox with info about them. Sometimes I wonder if these services even know how they are being advertised. Of course a lot of the companies aren’t choosing to advertise this way. The company is just being used without their knowledge to send out spoof emails asking for a ton of your information just so the sender can steal your identity. In that case I don’t blame the company. I blame the person trying to commit the crime.
At least I’m not stupid enough to fall for something like that. When I need these services I look normally look around the blogosphere, and I find what other people are talking about. Then I try the services based on what other people have to say about them.
My business email is the one account that I’ve tried to avoid having to change just because I have so many contacts, and it’s a crucial part of communicating with my customers. It looks like I might have to bite the bullet and change it though.
