There I Go Stealing Again

According to the latest spam comments I just emptied I’m in need of an escort and a bail bondsman. Well, I guess that means it’s safe to go ahead and do some stealing, too! ;-)

Today we ripped off a blogger namedTense Teacher from the blog Tense for a Reason. It’s long so we’ll do it in two parts. She stole it from The Coffee Table. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft’s thieves might take some time. Take the time to comment on other player’s posts. It’s a great way to make new friends! Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Sunday Stealing: The Madness Meme, Part 1

Cheers to all of us thieves!

1. Have you ever licked the back of a CD to try to get it to work?

Um, no, although I fully admit to the spit & wipe.

2. What’s the largest age difference between yourself and someone you’ve dated?

6 years.  There was one guy I almost dated who was 9 years older, but since I was 19 at the time the age difference scared me away. A couple weeks later I met my hubby, so all was well.

3. Ever been in a car wreck?

Yep, a few times, but nothing serious.

4. Were you popular in high school?

Ha! Only if you consider being a total geeky outcast popular!

5. Have you ever been on a blind date?

Yep, and I’m so glad I don’t have to do that again.  It was a disaster.

6. Are looks important?

No because what one person thinks is hot doesn’t mean it’s the same as what the next person thinks.  What matters is that you be yourself and let your inner beauty shine.

7. Do you have any friends that you’ve known for 10 years or more?

Yep, quite a few.

8. By what age would you like to be married?

I got married 8 years ago right before my 22nd birthday.

9. Does the number of people a person’s slept with affect your view of them?

Not really.  I don’t dwell on the past.

10. Have you ever made a mistake?

Who hasn’t?

11. Are you a good tipper?

I’m an excellent tipper if the service is good.  I was a waitress for many years, and I know how important those tips are.  I don’t automatically leave a great tip just because, though.  If the service sucks your tip will show it.

12. What’s the most you have spent for a haircut?

I think $20 was about the max.  I have a family member that usually does it for free, and a friend who will do it on the cheap when I need her to.

13. Have you ever had a crush on a teacher?

Yep. 9th grade.  I thought Coach C was swoon worthy.

14. Have you ever peed in public?

If peeing in the woods or behind a car counts!  It’s the norm at a backwoods field party.

15. What song do you want played at your funeral?

William Orbit- Adagio For Strings

16. Would you tell your parents if you were gay?

Hmm…I’m not sure, but since I’m not gay I don’t have to figure that out.  I come from a very strict Church of God family, so there are a lot of things I never told my family…like that I lived with my husband for a year and 1/2 before we got married.  That in itself would’ve gotten me disowned, so I know being gay wouldn’t go over well at all.  Yeah, they suck, and I’m glad I’m nothing like them.

17. What would your last meal be before getting executed?

As many crab legs as I could stuff in my belly with a side of cheesecake.

18. Beatles or Stones?

Beatles

19. If you had to pick one person on earth to die, who would it be?

The woman who just murdered her 2 sons, ex husband, and step mom.  I know innocent until proven guilty and all that, but if she did it may she burn in hell.  Maybe that wish will come true, and she’ll get the death penalty.  Anyone who is willing to murder their own sons for insurance money deserves to die a slow painful death.

20. Beer, wine or hard liquor?

Depends on the occasion.  Mostly Beer and liquor, but of course not in that order.

21. Do you have any phobias?

Tornadoes

22. What are your plans for the future?

To enjoy the rest of my life with my family no matter what path is laid in front of me.

Yep, I’m a Curious One

Now that Ellie’s getting older I’m finding myself with way more computer time than I used to, so I’m slowly working my way back into some of the memes I used to do.  I’m sure that 3 hour nap she’s been taking in the afternoons is helping with that!

Anywho, here’s a meme I haven’t done in awhile, Curious as a Cat.  I used to love participating in this one, then I got sidetracked.  Hopefully I’ll now remember to do it more often!

1) If you could ask any historical person for advice, who would it be and why?

I would ask our founding fathers exactly what they think we need to do to fix the mess this country is in because someone’s got to do something to help!

2) How do you react when someone says something unexpectedly unkind to you?

I’m horrible with those types of situations.  I mostly blush and get really shy before muttering a thanks.

3) Your neighbor just bought a new metal detector. What did she just find in your backyard that she’s so excited about?

My BFF’s engagement ring she through out the bathroom window!  No worries, she tossed it because she’d just found him cheating on her.  She’s happily married to a much better guy now.

4) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one.

It reminds me of how mesmerized Ellie was this morning by the rainbow that was on her ceiling and wall.  Yesterday’s craft project was tying old CDs to a string and hanging them in her window.

They Lost, But I Had Fun

We got to enjoy an evening out last night, and even though I froze my butt off I enjoyed it.  Ben wanted to go see his old high school football team play because they were 6-0.  The last time that happened was when he was playing.  I’ve dragged him to Walhalla football games before, so the least I could do was attend a Liberty game for him.

We left Ellie with my aunt because it was just too cold to take her out there, and I knew there was no way she’d be still.  I would have been chasing her up and down the bleachers.  We grabbed a bite to eat at Liberty Bell, and got to the game just in time for kickoff.  We found my in-laws and piled into the bleachers at the 50 yard line ready to see the action.  My MIL brought her camera hoping to get lots of great shots, but her batteries died before the end of the first quarter.  Maybe I should get her some extra olympus camera batteries for Christmas!

She didn’t miss much, though.  Unfortunately Liberty lost to Pendleton…big time.  When your defense has an average weight of 1/3 less than the other team you don’t stand much of a chance.  The Pendleton guys could have knocked down the Liberty guys with 1 finger, and I wondered how the Liberty team had made it to 6-0.  Of course Ben claims either he jinxed them because Pendleton was the team that killed his undefeated season as well 11 years ago, or I jinxed them because I wore my red shirt for Liberty, and my gold eye shadow for Pendleton. Hey, I was unbiased in this game!  I had to rep both teams!  He’s lucky I didn’t deck out in my Walhalla purple and white *wink*.

Even though they lost and I froze I still had a great time.  Just getting out of the house was enjoyable for me.  We left at the beginning of the 4th quarter and made a quick trip to Walmart to pick up some of the supplies for Ellie’s birthday party before heading towards the house and picking up the little one.
