Today we ripped off a blogger named Tense Teacher of the blog Tense for a Reason. (Yes we know that we’ve ripped her off not so long ago as well. It’s pretty amazing since she stopped posting in 2007. But that’s where we live as a thief). Also, it’s long so we’ll do it in parts. She does not say where she got it from. But, it was probably stolen there as well. So, of course, that will be as far as we go. Tracing back our theft’s thieves might take some time.Take the time to comment on other player’s posts. 41. Have you ever gambled at a casino? Nope, but I want to.

42. Have you thrown up on a plane? I’ve never been on a plane.

43. Have you thrown up in a car? Oh yeah.  I get car sick in the mountains if I’m in the back seat.

44. Have you thrown up at work? Yep.

45. Do you scream on roller coasters? Of course!  It’s not fun if you don’t!

46. How many shoes do you have? 1 pair of black dress boots, 3 pair of brown Ugg knock offs (they all look different), 3 pair of Georgia Boots in various colors, 1 pair of white tennis shoes, 1 pair of brown tennis shoes, and umpteen pairs of sandals and flip flops in various colors.

47. Who was your first roommate? I didn’t have 1, I had 7!  I lived in a shared campus apartment in college.

48. What alcoholic beverage did you drink when you got drunk for the first time? Beer

49. What was your first job? Store clerk at the county park

50. What was your first car? ’85 white oldsmobile

51. When did you go to your first funeral? I think when my Papa died.  I was 7.

52. How old were you when you first moved away from your hometown? 18…to college, and I only moved a county over.

53. Who was your first grade teacher? Mrs. Baker.  Sweetest lady ever.

54. Where did you go on your first airplane ride? I haven’t.

55. When you snuck out of your house for the first time, who was it with? I never snuck out!

56. Who was your first best friend and are you still friends with them? Brett, a kid from church, and no.

57. Where did you live the first time you moved out of your parents’ house? College.

58. Who is the first person you call when you have a bad day? My husband or my Daddy.

59. Whose wedding were you in the first time you were a bridesmaid or a groomsmen? I’ve never been a bridesmaid.  How sad is that?

60. What is the first thing you do in the morning? Hug my baby girl and give her a kiss.

Sunday Stealing: The Never Ending Meme, Part Two

21. Did you go to your high school prom? I went to both of them, but I only spent 15 minutes or so at my senior prom…just long enough to get our photos taken.

22. Perfect time to wake up? When Ellie says “Mama get up!”  She’s always awake before me.

23. Perfect time to go to bed? About 2am, at least that’s when I finally make it there.

24. Do you use your queen right away in chess?  I don’t play chess.

25. Ever been in a car accident? I’ve been in a couple, but luckily nothing serious.

26. Closer to mom or dad…or neither? I’m a Daddy’s girl, and we talk everyday.  My mom and I don’t exactly have much of a relationship.

27. What age is this exciting life over for you? I don’t even want to think about that.

28. What decade during the 20th century would you have chosen to be a teenager? I was pretty happy with being a teen in the late 90s.

29. Favorite shoes you have EVER owned? My Sketchers boots, and I wore them everyday for 10 years until they finally fell apart beyond repair.

30. Do you have an article of clothing you have had since you were in high school? I’ve still got my prom dresses.

31. Were you in track and field? Nope.

32. Were you ever in a school talent show? A couple.

33. Have you ever written in a library book?  Not that I can recall.

34. Allergic to?  Ivory soap, well lots of soaps actually, but Ivory is the big one.  Just touching the sink where a bar of Ivory has been will cause me to break out in horrible hives.

3. Last person you argued with? my mom and sister

4. Do you put butter before putting the peanut butter on? Eww that’s just gross.

5. One of your stuffed animals’ names as a kid? Zip.  He was my stuffed monkey.

6. Did you ever at one time own a Barenaked Ladies CD? Yep, and I still do.

7. Favorite day of the week? Sunday because it’s my hubby’s only day off.

8. Favorite sundae topping? I have to choose just one?

9. Did you take piano lessons? Nope.  I took violin lessons.

11. T.V. show you secretly enjoy? Teen Mom 2

12. Would you rather play basketball or hockey? Hockey

13. Date someone older or younger? Older…I never did like the younger guys.  Ben reminded me that I had to retract that statement since I  married a “younger” man.   I don’t consider it that way, but he is 3 months younger than me, so I guess technically that counts lol.  I was just never interested in dating anyone younger than my own age.

14. One place you could travel right now? Ireland

16. Do you know all the words to the Canadian national anthem? I don’t know a single word to the Canadian national anthem.  Then again, I’m not Canadian.

17. Favorite cheese? Hmm…that’s a hard one.  I like all kinds of cheese.

19. Do you prefer blondes or brunettes? Brunettes mostly, but the personality is more important than the hair color.

20. Best job you ever had?  My current one!

We had a pretty enjoyable weekend around here.  Ben worked Saturday, so Ellie and I had a girls day.  We decorated a cardboard Christmas tree we made for her last week, baked some sugar cookies, and snuggled up to watch Christmas movies after hanging some more decorations. 

We’ve just about finished decorating the inside of the house with the exception of our Christmas tree.  I would love to have the tree now, but because the wood heat keeps the air in the living room so dry we have to wait until 2 or 3 weeks before Christmas to put up our tree or it will dry out and die before Christmas.  Yes, we are pro real trees, and we recycle them in a number of ways.  Even though I contemplated buying Ellie a small fake tree for her room I’m not a fan of them.  I don’t think they’re very pretty, and I don’t like the lead hazards associated with most artificial trees.  The National Christmas Tree Association has an interesting article about fake trees, how they’re made, the hazards they pose.

Anywho, getting back on topic of the weekend, we had a very enjoyable one.  Sunday we took Ellie to her first parade.  Even though it was a very small parade she absolutely loved it.  She fell asleep before we even made it out of the parade traffic, so our plans of Christmas shopping afterwards were put on hold.  Instead I came home and window shopped online to get a few ideas of what to buy. 

I still have no earthly idea what to buy for Ellie.  I got her a pair of toddler roller skates with my Swagbucks gift cards, but that’s it so far. Our house has become hoarder central for toys.  Seriously we have so much stuff I don’t know where t put it anymore.  There are boxes in the attic and piles of toys all over the house.  She’s filled her bedroom, most of my office, and most of the living room with stuff.  I’ve been packing up stuff she doesn’t play with often and donating it, but we still have a massive amount of toys.  Plus I have to consider all the gifts she’ll get from our family for Christmas, so I have no idea what to buy her.

At least Ben is a lot easier to shop for this year.  I have his present picked out and ready to order as soon as I get paid.  Each year I plan the same present for him, and it gets put on hold because we can’t afford it.  He’s been looking at titanium rings and talking about getting a new one to replace his broken and too small wedding band, so that’s what I wanted to get him.  I found a few that I like in our price range, but now the issue is finding one that will fit.  I’ve searched high and low, and no one seems to carry anything over a 13.5.  He needs a 14.5 to fit his big ‘ole finger.  With titanium there isn’t an option of buying a size smaller and having it stretched, so I’ll have to keep looking.

Now that I’ve gotten off topic again I guess it’s time to wrap up this post.  I have a ton of housework to do today anyway, and I definitely can’t get it done if I’m sitting here on the ‘net while Ellie is napping!

Okay, so I know I’m a day late, but I didn’t want to completely skip this week’s Sunday Stealing. I’m trying to get back into the swing of things, and I’m trying to cheer myself up. Memes make me feel good, so you shall get a meme now.

Sometimes, but now that we’ve got the little one it doesn’t happen as much.

A bulldog, so I could lie around being pampered and loved on all day.

I’m a dark blonde/brown kinda girl.

26. If suffering an injury, would you rather be left blind or deaf?

That’s a tough one.  I’m going to say deaf.

Um…not that I want to discuss!

Kick my shoes off, and change into my pjs.

My bff.  We haven’t seen each other in forever.

In a log cabin in the mountains.

My wonderful husband.

Hmm…probably one of the two single Hayden brothers.  You may not know who they are, but they’re celebrities in my world (one’s an AMA champ & the other is a Moto GP world champ)

34. What did you dream last night?

I think my dream stemmed from the fact this is about the time last year when my dad went hunting and hit a deer with his truck before he ever made it to his hunting spot.  I dreamed I borrowed his truck, hit a deer, and I had to call him.  I said I had bad news and good news.  He wanted the bad news first.  I said “well, I just wrecked your truck.” He said “well, how the heck can there be good news?”, and I said, “I got ya a deer!”
35. What is your favorite sport to watch?

College Football & Motorcycle Racing

36. Are you named after anyone?

I share my mom’s middle name, Elaine.  That’s also why I chose to name my daughter Elliana.  I wanted something similar, but not the same.

Yes.

40. Do you sing in the shower?

Sometimes.
