You would think out of the countless boxes of computer parts and cables I have around here I would be able to find the one cable I need. No, of course not! My box of hdmi cables is completely empty, so it looks like I’ll be running out to buy another one tonight. I would just order another one if I didn’t need it like right now, but since no one has invented a way to teleport purchases through my monitor I guess it’s a trip to town for me.
I need to start making a list of the cables I lose the most so I can add them to my Christmas list. I should probably pick up a few on sale during the big end of the year sales instead because most of my family members would look like me like I’m crazy if I asked for something like that. Then again most of them aren’t very technologically savvy.

I’ve got a ton of work to do today, but I don’t know if I’m going to be able to get it done. The baby is sleeping great right now, so I’ve got plenty of time to do it. I’m stressing because my laptop is driving me insane today. For the last couple of days I’ve been dropping my network connection every few minutes. I’ve checked every possible issue it could be, and so far nothing has fixed the problem. This happened a lot when I got my Eee PC, but I was able to fix the issue without much hassle. It happens to be a common problem with the Eee PCs, but today I’m becoming very frustrated with it.
Oh well. I’ll worry about it later. I really need to get my work done, so I’m resorting to using my desktop which I haven’t touched in months. Hubby mainly uses it now as it’s connected to the TV as an entertainment system. After I knock out this work I’m hoping I have time to look into another eczema treatment I want to try before the baby wakes up. I had a patch on my leg after I came home from the hospital that took almost 3 months to clear up. Unfortunately it has returned, and none of the usual stuff I treat with is working. I guess I’m probably going to have to break down and get in touch with the dermatologist again even though I don’t want to. That’s yet another added expense I need to work into the budget this month.
Speaking of budgets, that’s yet another thing I have to find time to work on. I’ve been very slack with it this month, and it’s time to get us back on track. I may have to get Hubby to spend some time with Ellie tonight while I sit down and knock all this out once and for all without any distractions.

After seeing how horrible traffic was tonight I’m scared to see how bad things are going to be on Black Friday. It was a mad house out there tonight, and now I’m definitely not heading out into that madness on Friday. I’ll stay at home and shop online!
Everything around town was madness. We tried to do a little shopping tonight to pick up a few essential things we forgot to grab at the grocery store the other day, but it was nearly impossible to get in anywhere for all the people. Then on the way home we were dodging crazy drivers left and right.
Apparently a ton of people seem to be having car trouble this weekend, too, because I can’t count on one hand the number of cars I saw parked on the side of the road this evening. Apparently no one around here seems to have roadside assistance plans. Maybe it’s because our unemployment rates are still so high no one can afford it, so they have to leave their cars parked all over the place because they can’t afford to get them home.
Anywho when we got home I did some online shopping, and I took advantage of some of the deals that are already going on online. I finally picked up my netbook. I got myself an Asus Eee PC 1005 Netbook. I’ve been wanting one of these for awhile, so with Hubby’s approval I treated myself to a late birthday/early Christmas present. I think he only agreed because I agreed to let him pick up the home theater system he’s been eyeing as long as he grabs it on Black Friday when it’s on sale. At least both of them are items we’ll get a ton of use out of even if they are a bit of a splurge. We figure with the baby these are some of the last big purchases we’ll be making for awhile, so we might as well enjoy it while we can!
