I keep telling myself I used to be more organized than this. Maybe I just think I was. Right now my entire life is one big disorganized mess. I haven’t been able to keep up with anything, and I feel like I’m running in circles. I’ve been making lists, but then I forget to check my list, so nothing gets done. I swear I’m feeling ADD here lately.

Hubby tells me I need something like Phentermine to give me energy to get everything done, but energy isn’t my problem. The problem is my mind running in 100 different directions at once.

Even my computer is so unorganized I can’t find anything. Normally I keep my computer more organized than anything, but I’ve been switching back and forth between my two computers and Hubby’s computer because of different things like the sound card going out on one or the psu dieing on another. I’ve got email, scrap kits, all kind of stuff spread throughout the 3 computers right now, and it’s driving me crazy.

I went to look for a photo earlier, and after searching 2 hours I realized it’s on a hard drive in the computer with the dead psu. That means pulling that hard drive out and putting it in this computer just so i can get to that one picture. If I had my backups I’d be fine, but I’ve been running around like a chicken with my head cut off, so I haven’t backed up any of my hard drives in weeks.

Ugh. That’s it. Tonight I’m sorting, organizing, trashing, and cleaning. If nothing else in my life is going to be straight at least my computers will be!

Yes Everyday Randomness is down right now, and nope I’m not freaking out.  For once it’s purposely offline.  My host decided to upgrade all their servers last week, and even though it didn’t cause any problems with my own blogs, it did cause problems with my friend Connie’s blog which is hosted on the same rented server.

I’ve spent the past two days reading through documentation, error logs, Wordpress forums, and troubleshooting files to figure out how to fix the 500 error she’s received every time she’s logged in since the server upgrade.

My eyes keep crossing on me, but I still have yet to figure out what the exact problem is.  My friend Moses, who owns the server, has taken everything offline to run some checks of his own.  We’re pretty sure it’s not a problem with the entire server because like I said my own blog hosted there isn’t experiencing any problems.

Hopefully we can get this figured out soon because it’s driving us both crazy!  I feel like it’s something that’s got to be right under my nose, but I keep overlooking it.  I’ve exhausted all other possibilities.

Anyway this is exactly why I’m glad that I don’t host all of my blogs on the same server.  I do use the same host for this blog, but it’s located on a different server.  My motorcycle blog is on a different host all together.  Some of my other blogging buddies are always asking me why I pay extra for a different host, but now you can see exactly why.  If something goes wrong I don’t want to be stuck having all my sites down at once.  At least this way I know I’ve got one up and running somewhere.

vista1.jpgAre you one of those unfortunate people who just purchased a new desktop or laptop that came with Vista already installed? You’ve discovered you hate Windows Vista and wish you could go back to Windows XP? (If you actually like Vista stop reading here.)

I do run my own home based computer repair business, and I’ve had many customers complaining to me about how horrible their computers run right out of the box.  I give them two choices.  I can tweak Vista for them, or they can go back to XP.  So far all of them have chosen XP except one person.  That one person brought his computer back a couple weeks later asking me to get rid of Vista for good.

I promise you, you’re not out of luck. It’s easy to get a free copy of Windows XP Professional to replace that crappy Vista, and I know this for a fact. We’ve tried this and been successful each time.

What you need to do:

Call the computer manufacturer. Yep, that’s it. Call them, and tell them how horrible you think Vista is. Tell them you would have never purchased the computer if you had known Vista was so horrible, and you want a copy of XP Professional. We’ve tried this 5 times now, and each time we’ve received an XP Professional disk in the mail within a couple weeks.
