Freakin’ a man. Where in the hell did this toothache come from, and why won’t it go away? I’ve had a seriously killer toothache off and on going on 2 days now, and it’s only getting worse. It started yesterday evening after dinner. I was watching a movie with Hubby, and it started throbbing out of nowhere. It gradually got worse throughout the night, and by bedtime it was so bad that nothing would make it stop, not even the pain meds I was pumping into my system. I’ve gargled with salt water, used compresses, swished with both mouthwash and liquor (my grandma’s remedy), and nothing has worked.
So, I spent all night tossing and turning in bed hoping it would go away long enough for me to catch at least 10 minutes of sleep. It finally did subside enough for me to catch 3 hours of sleep this morning, and I’m lucky I got that much sleep. Elliana must have known I really needed it because she decided to sleep in a bit longer than usual.
All was well most of the day, but right as Hubby came home from work the toothache returned. After dinner it was bad enough for me to take some more meds, and that didn’t help at all. I really don’t want to have to go to a dentist. I’ve looked up a few insurance quotes for dental insurance, and so far everything I’ve found has been way beyond what I can afford. Now I’m starting to think it would have been worth it to dump a huge chunk of change on some insurance because there’s no telling how much it’s going to cost me out of pocket if I have to break down and see a dentist for this crap.
I’m now starting to believe it’s not a toothache per say. I’m beginning to think I have fluid or pressure or something from my sinuses causing this pain in my teeth. I only believe that because the pain seems to be coming and going based on whether or not my sinuses are giving me problems, and tonight I’ve got an ear ache and clogged up nose as well.
The ache doesn’t seem to be in the same spot either, although it’s all staying on the left side of my face. Last night everything seemed concentrated around my left back top molar, while tonight the pain seems to be around my top canine and all of my bottom teeth on the left side.
All I know is it’s painful, it needs to go away, and I need to be able to sleep tonight. At least the weekend will be here soon, so I’ll have Hubby to help me with the baby if I’m walking around in Zombie mode.
