Spring Cleaning Bug

The Spring cleaning but has definitely bitten me.  I’ve been washing, folding, sorting, scrubbing, and dusting for an hour, and now I feel like I need to take a little break then tackle a closet or two.  Hubby went to help my dad do some stuff in his pasture, and my Grandma called wanting to know if she could keep Elliana for a few hours, so I’m definitely taking advantage of this time to do as much cleaning as I can.

I’ve got to do something to keep myself occupied otherwise I’ll spend the whole time peering out the window waiting for the Fedex guy to show up.  The sooner he gets here the sooner I can get my new steam mop to work on the floors!

For now I’ll settle with packing up Winter clothes and pulling out the Spring/Summer stuff.  I already see a ton of stuff we can get rid of.  Hubby has 2 Nascar jackets that he’s never worn because they’re too small, so they’re going straight in the donation box along with a ton of other stuff I can’t fit into anymore. I’m sure someone will be very happy to have a nice coat come next winter. It feels so good to get some of the old stuff out so we can make room for the new, and today is such a beautiful day to be doing all of this.

I know you’re probably thinking if it’s such a beautiful day I should be outside enjoying it, but we already did that. Elliana got a little fussy, so I took her outside for a stroll that turned into an hour of pushing her up and down the driveway. As soon as I’d stop she’d fuss, so we kept going until she fell asleep. I didn’t mind because I enjoyed it, too, but there will be plenty more nice days in the future for us to play outside. Now Mommy wants to get back to cleaning!

Lines And Bags

Every single time I look in the mirror I spot little lines around my eyes and mouth.  Is it time for me to start using an anti wrinkle cream? I’ve thought about it before, but I keep telling myself I’ll worry about it later. Now I’m thinking it might be a good idea.

Today I’ve got more than a few laugh lines to worry about. I’ve got some seriously dark circles under my eyes that no amount of makeup is going to cover up when we go out to dinner tonight. My little princess hasn’t let me get much sleep at all this week, and it’s definitely showing. Her gums are bothering her again, so she keeps waking up in the middle of the night, but she wants to stay awake for a few hours. No matter what I do she’ll stay awake until 3am at least, so yeah I’m one tired Mama today.

Thank goodness Hubby just called and said he doesn’t have to work tomorrow after all, but that doesn’t mean more rest for me. We’re going to help my sis-in-law move into her new house tomorrow. I’ll be so tired I bet I’ll sleep really well tomorrow night…if Elliana will let me.

Get Moving In The Sunshine

It is such a beautiful day today, and I’m loving it!  Days like these make me wish it was 73 degrees year round, but I’ll take the pretty days when they come.  Ellie is taking a nap right now, but when she wakes up we’re going to get outside to enjoy this beautiful weather.  Our time outside will be short today since we have a long list of stuff to do, but Hubby has to work tomorrow giving us all the time in the world to have Mommy and baby outside time.

I can’t wait until she’s big enough to actually get outside and play.  Right now I have to keep her in her stroller shaded from the sun, but it won’t be long before I can slather her up in sunscreen and throw her in her baby splash pool.  I foresee us spending a lot of time outside this summer.

This warm weather also has me wanting to do two things…get myself in shape for bikini season and clean.  The cleaning will have to wait since I have a ton of work to do and errands to run, but I have no problem working in 5-10 minutes of workout time here and there.  I was just looking at fatburner.org, and I was yet again contemplating whether or not I should throw some kind of diet pill in with my routine. I know I can’t do it right now, but once I’m done with breastfeeding I do want to have all the facts already so I can choose which one I want to use.

Of course this weather reminds me that if I get my butt off the couch and exercise I probably won’t need any diet pill help anyway. Pushing that almost 14lb baby around the yard in circles burns a good bit of calories on it’s on. Just carrying her around is doing plenty of that for me, and building muscle, too. My arms look better than they have in years!
