What a busy week this has been! I honestly haven’t had much time to sit down and do anything, so I’m thankful for a few minutes of peace and quiet right now. Elliana hasn’t been feeling well because she’s working on cutting a tooth again. Honestly I’m perfectly happy that she’s teething kind of early because maybe we can start getting it out of the way!
She hasn’t really been fussy. She’s just been restless, so we had a couple sleepless nights where she wanted to test just how long Mommy can go without sleep. Those nights reminded me of back in the day when I used to stay up for a couple nights on end on purpose. Whatever was I thinking? I promise I’ll never say sleep is overrated again!
On top of that I’ve had a lot to do around here, and I’m thankful Hubby has been home to help me some this week. He didn’t get to work Friday because of the snow and ice up the mountain, and yesterday he was home because 60mph ice cold winds and 3 stories of scaffolding just don’t mesh well. Friday he gave me a break from the baby long enough to get everything together to get our taxes done, and yesterday we ended up running errands all day.
Now I can mark a few more things off my to do list, but it’s still pretty long. I promised my sister I’d do some research for her and try to find some houses in the area for rent that she can afford. She and her Hubby have temporarily been living with my mom until they can find something, but they’ve got a baby on the way, so they need to get out fast. Maybe if I find her a great place she’ll hire one of those moving companies instead of asking me to help. Joking! I’m more than willing to help them move.
I need to go over our tax stuff one more time, too, that is if Elliana will allow me the time to do it. Nap times have been few and far between the last few days, but hopefully the teething tablets will help her sleep today. Our appointment to do our taxes is 2 weeks away, but I still want to make sure I have everything in order. I ran everything through Turbo Tax, and if my numbers are right we’ll be getting back enough to finally put the hardwood floors down that I want. I do that every year, and my numbers come up pretty close, but I still don’t trust doing our taxes myself with all the business stuff we’ve got going on. I’ll stick with letting our tax chic take care of the details for me to make sure we don’t miss anything.
Now I’m going to hop into the kitchen and grab myself a bite to eat before the little one wakes up. I expect her to start stirring any moment now.
