I’m making a list of all the memes I want to slowly begin participating in again.  I had just started participating in Menu Plan Monday when I found myself in the hospital, so I only got to participate once plus I didn’t even get to use the menu I had planned out for that week!  I’m setting myself a reminder that I need to participate again starting on Monday. 

I used to participate in a bunch of photo memes, but I got lazy and lost interest in taking the photos I needed.  Now that I’ve got a pretty new subject to photograph I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more photos from me.  I’m just looking for excuses to show off my little princess, and showing her off is also my excuse to get a new lighting fixture for the living room. Right now the lighting in there (as is true with most of this house) is so bad that I have to open the curtains with the light on just to get a halfway decent photo. Plus I have to use the flash during the day. Forget about trying to get a decent shot at night.

First of all let me say thank you to all of you who have sent me Happy Birthday wishes.  I found my inbox full of ecards and little notes this morning, and it brightened my day.  I was a little on edge thinking about getting the results of Elliana’s MRI, so taking a few minutes to enjoy some of those notes helped me to feel better.

As for the birthday festivities there really aren’t any.  Hubby has to work late and we still aren’t taking Elliana out except for doctor’s visits, so I doubt we’ll even go to dinner.  I’m spending the day getting caught up on work and enjoying my little girl.  All I ask for is a birthday nap at some point, but that probably won’t happen until Hubby gets home from work.

I will take some time out to do some online birthday shopping, though.  I buy myself a present every year, but this year Hubby gave me money to shop for my own gift as well.  With the new baby, lack of time to go to the actual store, and cluelessness about what I’d want I think giving me money was in his best interests this year.

I was looking at the Canon Powershot bundle on www.thesource.ca, but I doubt I’ll buy anything like that right now. I already have a camera that works just fine for the moment, and I need to make sure I get stuff I actually need right now. My only rule is I’m not allowed to by anything for the baby with my own birthday money. I think it’s a fair rule. Anywho, I better get to shopping if I’m going to get anything bought before the little one wakes up from her nap. It’s almost lunch time in her world, and she will definitely let me know it.
