Classic Disney To The Rescue

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We definitely filled ourselves to the max with lots of turkey, and brought home plenty of leftovers to keep us stuffed for awhile.

The little one enjoyed her first family dinner by staying awake and alert the entire time.  She was more alert yesterday than she’s ever been, so I figured she might sleep a little better last night.  Nope.  I was up most of the night with her, and she finally decided we could sleep around 5am this morning.  As I type she’s currently laying here on the boppy alternating between watching Mary Poppins and smiling at me.

I”m starting her off with all the old classic Disney movies that I love before we move into the Disney movies of today.  Mary Poppins may be old, but it’s one of my all time favorite movies.  My aunt and I used to watch it weekly when I was a kid as it’s also her favorite movie. It came out the year she was born so we still watch Mary Poppins every year on her birthday.  It makes her feel young again especially now that she’s starting to receive mail talking about how she needs to look into a Medicare supplement even though she’s only 45!

Anywho, hooking her up with the movie right now is giving me time to relax a bit and get some work done.  My house is an absolute wreck and it’s driving me insane.  Hubby is helping as much as he can, but he’s got a list of stuff he needs to do outside today like putting the rest of that plastic weather film stuff on the windows.  I guess that means I need to get off here and get some work done, huh?  Now that she’s chilled out with the movie that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
