Revamping My Blog Organizational Skills

Docos

I really need to kick myself in gear and get back to what I had originally planned with this blog.  When I started this blog back in December 2007 I already had Everyday Randomness up and running.  My original intent was to keep Everyday Randomness as my "blog of randomness" concerning family and life in general…ya know the "everyday randomness" that happens.

The Ramblings of Jenn Shuey was specifically going to be a place where I could keep my own thoughts on things, what was going on with me (not my family).  It was going to be a place where I could vent, talk about things concerning me, and post my memes and stuff.  I never intended to drag in the daily life of my family stuff, but somehow it happened. Now I think it’s time I get back to my original intent because otherwise there is absolutely no reason for me to have two blogs that have meshed into the same topic.  I would still like to keep my family talk and daily life separate from the me stuff…especially with the baby coming.  I definitely think I’ll have enough going on with the stress of being a new mom and the hormonal changes to need a place to vent!

Who knows? The extent of my venting may be me telling you how I closed my eyes while the baby was screaming and took a minute to pretend I was relaxing in acapulco, but I would still rather have the option to keep those posts separate from the daily family life stuff.  So yeah, I guess what I’m saying is that if you’re family or friends who are following this blog because you’ve been keeping up with what’s going on with us you may want to start looking for more of those posts to appear on Everyday Randomness.  That’s where I should have been posting them all along, and I’m going to try to get myself a little more organized in the blogging department.

8th Annual Boobie-Thon Underway

It’s time for the annual Boobie-Thon, and I’m so excited!  It’s barely 9am on the second day and the Boobie-Thon has already raised $1521.55 (8:04am count) towards breast cancer research!

What is it?

The Boobie-Thon is a charity even that was started 8 years ago to raise money for breast cancer research.  Every year during the week of October 1-7 participants from around the world (both male and female) show off their racks (tastefully) in support of breast cancer research.

I can assure you my rack will be featured yet again this year as soon as I get a chance to take my photos.  I participated and donated for the first time last year, and I’ve vowed to do it every year as long as I am able to do so.

How can I help?

First of all, don’t forget to take a minute to pay tribute to those we’ve lost to this horrible disease.  If you know someone who lost their battle consider donating in their memory.

Check out the stories of the women who have fought the battle and survived breast cancer.  These women are thankful for each day, and they want to share their stories with us.  If you’re a breast cancer survivor you can also submit your own survival story.  We want to share in your success, and your story may be the one that empowers someone who’s struggling with cancer to fight for their own survival.

Please consider participating, donating, or both in support of breast cancer research.  Boobie-Thon’s motto is “we share because we care”, and we all really do just that.  We all want to find a cure, and every little bit helps in the fight against this horrible disease.
