Peace And Quiet Once More

Today is Hubby’s first day back at work, so that’s made things very quiet (and definitely enjoyable) around here.  I’m getting a late start today, but I think I might be able to get some stuff accomplished today!  Last night I made myself a huge list of what I absolutely have to get done today, and now I’m taking the time to make that list something I can actually manage.  I may be a multitasker, but the list I made last night would probably require God himself to complete.  Of course my lazy self decided to enjoy my Hubby free morning by sleeping in, so now I have to make up for that.

At least my MIL and I got some of the baby stuff settled this morning.  We settled a date for my shower, October 25th, and we started talking about a theme, games, and stuff like that.  Now I just need to work on a guest list and finish my registries that are hardly begun.

I may have some time to work on that this afternoon, but we’ll just have to see.  I still have a ton of email to get through today, a live chat with one of my business contacts this afternoon, and a ton of work to knock out.  Plus I don’t have a clue what time Hubby will be home from work, but I know he won’t be working a full day.  I guess I better kick my butt in gear to get this stuff done!

Sleep and Comfort

You could say I’ve found myself in a rather bitchy mood today, and I’ve had a hard time pulling myself out of it.  I blame the hormones mostly, but I think Hubby has contributed to the mood as well.  He was restless last night, and his bouncing around tossing and turning made me restless as well.  Sleep is already a precious commodity to me, so of course not sleeping makes me ill.

I’ve spent most of the day locked away in the bedroom trying to nap off and on between watching tv and sorting through more junk I want to get rid of.  Our internet has been in and out the past few days, so I’ve been able to avoid any real work online.  I am extremely behind on my email, and I should probably get to that soon, but it won’t be tonight.  I’m just too uncomfortable sitting in this chair for any length of time, and I don’t feel like doing it tonight.

As much as I love being pregnant I’ll be very happy when November arrives.  I’ll find myself even more sleep deprived, but maybe I’ll actually be able to find a comfortable position for those few moments of sleep I do grab.  Maybe Hubby will even reward me with a nice present containing certified diamonds for incubating his baby girl uncomfortably for 9 months. Nah, he knows better. I’m not much of a jewelry person, so he wouldn’t waste what little bit of cash we’re able to put back these days.  Besides I don’t need a present…my baby girl is present enough! (but I do secretly think Hubby buying something would be nice, too!)

Relaxation Around The Bend

First of all excuse any and all typos you find in this post as I’ve found out it’s extremely hard to type rght now with this band-aid on my finger without making a lot of mistakes.  Of course I’ll be correcting anything I catch, but there’s bound to be one or two typos that escape me right now.

Other than the band-aid and the wicked ear itch I’ve got going on right now (onea those deep inside itches that won’t go away) today has been a pretty good day even though I’ve felt pretty bleh…just tired and ran down.  I guess that’s only fitting since today is officially the first day of my 3rd trimester.

I did manage to get a few things accomplished today without letting my mood and my body drag me down.  I cleaned out a lot more stuff to get rid of.  We had two cheap dollar store type tv stands sitting in the utility room that I finally decided to chunk, so I took those apart. I finished reorganizing my closet for the 3rd time in the last month or so…and I’m sure I’ll end up organizing it again before everything’s all said and done.

Now I think I’m about ready to curl up on the bed and chill out with a book for an hour or two, but not before I answer my Thursday Thunks questions for this week. I never got around to it last week, so let’s make sure I don’t miss this week as well!

So…onto the thunks!

1. Your thoughts on truck drivers?

Shout out to Uncle Tony!  Can you imagine how much stuff wouldn’t make it’s way across the country everyday without all those awesome people giving up time with their families to drive those trucks everyday?

2. Did you hear Michelle Duggar is pregnant for the 15th time? (but that will be kid #19 if you lost count….)

Good Lord!  Will she ever stop?  I’m loving pregnancy and all, but I can’t imagine 15 times!

3. Have you ever done something to hurt someone intentionally… just for the sole purpose of hurting them because you thought they deserved it? Maybe a paybacks a bitch sort of thing?

Um…I have a sister…and we were little heinous little bitches to each other as children.  I think that answers your question.

4. Is there anyone in your life that when you go to their place of residence, you just walk in without bother knocking? Does anyone just walk into your house without knocking?

My grandparents, the parentals, our bff’s house…those are no knock needed kinds of places.  Surprisingly everyone either calls ahead to say I’ll be there in 2 seconds or knocks when they get here, but mostly because they don’t want to get peed on by the weak-bladdered overly hyper bullie that is my furbaby.  That gives us a chance to stash him in another room until he’s calmed down or throw a “diaper” on him.

5. Whats in the trunk of your car? Do you even have a clue?

Well I don’t have a trunk unless you’re talking about all that extra space w/ the seats down in the Blazer.  It’s my truck, so it’s got “truck stuff”.  Actually right now it’s mostly full of Hubby’s tools and work stuffs. I think one of the dog’s blankets might be in there, too.

6. When you go to a family holiday get together (such as Christmas or Thanksgiving), about how many people are there?

That depends on which family.  My side…12 soon to be 13, sometimes more.  Hubby’s side 6…soon to be 7 because we don’t really go to the extended family stuff often.

7. What is in your kitchen sink right at this very moment?

Dirty dishes…and lots of them.  I’m on strike because Hubby has dish duty, so they’ll sit there ’til one of us caves.

8. You go to a store to buy an expensive item… say $150. You pick up that item and a couple other this n’ thats. You get to the register and the expensive item rings up at $40. The cashier doesn’t seem to notice and tells you your total. Do you go with what they say and pay it or do you question the price difference? You know you would question it if your $40 item rang up at $150….

Of course I’m not questioning it…are you crazy?

9. Do you fold your underwear or do you just toss it in a drawer?

Toss.  I have a hard enough time folding the stuff that needs to be folded.

10. There is a Harley-Davidson giveaway. Chances are $100 and they are only selling 250 tickets. Do you buy one?

Nope.  a.  I don’t have $100 to spare.  b.  I’m not a fan of Harley’s.  c. We already have a motorcycle.

11. Who is your favorite Disney character?

Donald Duck

12. It’s September – most of the weekly sitcoms/dramas are starting new seasons again. Which one are you most looking forward to?

I’m not really looking forward to any shows right now.  Most of the ones I watch are just ending for the season.

13. You are at a grocery store and are on your way out to your car with your cart full of grocery bags. On your way to your car you see a black kitten in an empty cart. What do you do?

Don’t tempt me!  I cannot afford to take home another one!  Poor kitteh. :-(

14. Is there anything that you do for a hobby that you are asked to do for friends/family that most people would hire a professional to do? (example: cake decorating, fixing cars….)

There are quite a few things on that list, but I don’t feel like getting into all of them right now

15. Are we there yet?

Almost…just 12 more weeks to go!
