Still Playing Catch Up

Yet again I’m seriously way behind on blogging, or anything that involves the computer for that matter.  Hubby has decided to use all this free time he’s got catching up on the episodes he’s missed from all his favorite shows…and some new ones.  I should have never introduced him to Hulu!

I really hope he either finds a new job or gets called back to work by his boss soon because he’s totally driving me crazy.  Men are good at that aren’t they?  I did try to help him do some job searching this morning, but we’re still out of luck.  There’s nothing in the area involving construction, and almost everything we’re finding involves major relocation plus wouldn’t supply an income to keep us afloat in our area much less in one with a higher cost of living.

Apparently there are lots of jobs out there if he wants to relocate to work for places like moving companies Los Angeles, but there aren’t any jobs around here. He put in an application at Huddle House because they’ve had a hiring sign up, but not even most of the fast food places are hiring.  It’s definitely not making me feel any better about our situation right now.

Anywho I know I keep promising ultrasound pics that I haven’t had a chance to post, but the good news is next week I’ll have even more pics to share. I went to the doctor yesterday, and she confirmed that the ultrasound tech wasn’t able to get a full spinal image during our last ultrasound.  That means we’ll be going to Anderson next week for a 3D ultrasound…which is something Hubby is really looking forward to.  He was wanting to go to Vision of Life to get a 3D or 4D on our own if we didn’t have a reason to need one from our doctor.  It looks like he’s getting his wish!

Ok I’m going to run off real quick and get the ultrasound pics from the last visit uploaded to flickr real quick. That way I’ve accomplished one thing on my to do list!  Now I just need to hurry because I definitely hear the thunder booming, and I don’t want to leave my pc on much longer.

Beautiful Days And Good Moods

Happy Monday everyone.  I know Monday normally isn’t much of a happy day, but I’m definitely in a good mood today…a better mood than I’ve been in as of late.

I think it’s because today is the first day in quite a few that I’ve awoken to bright and sunny skies instead of gloom and rain.  It was nice to see the sun beaming through the bedroom window this morning.  I’m sure part of it also has to do with the fact that Hubby is out of the house today giving me some personal time to get things done.

I spent most of the morning catching up on housework that I couldn’t set aside any longer, and I still ended up having time to knock out some work.  I told myself I was taking for myself no matter what because I knew he’d be out of the house and out of my hair.  I love him to death, but we all need a little quiet time to ourselves from time to time.

I’m taking a lunch break now, then I’m going to knock out more work.  I think I may actually get everything finished by the time he gets home today with hopefully some time to spare.  I’m hoping to even have some time to knock out a few things on my personal I-promised-to-do-this list…like finally picking up my BFF’s laptop and getting it fixed.  I’ve only been promising to do it for a little over 2 weeks now, but I just haven’t had the time to get over there to pick it up.

I also promised one of our friends I’d help her price some stuff for the house they just bought.  It’s a foreclosure that’s going to need a lot of work, but they got it for a dang good price.  She’s put her guy and Hubby in charge of fixing the structural stuff while us girls take care of the decorative and shopping end of things.

Lighting Showplace is having an outdoor lighting sale, so I definitely need to peek at what they have so I can let her know before the sale ends, but if I do that right now I’ll end up wasting a couple hours drooling over the lights I want but can’t afford right now. Seriously though we need to get some kind of lighting for our front walkway. I don’t know how many times I’ve almost busted my butt recently trying to walk to the porch in the dark.

Anywho that’s yet another discussion for another time.  I need to make myself a sandwich, kick my butt in gear, and get more accomplished before Hubby comes home.
