Wow. Am I really making it to this blog to post before Thursday? It seems like for once I am! It seems as if things have calmed down here a bit. We’re still having issues of the real world variety to deal with, but at least today I’m getting a chance to breathe.
I spent most of the morning sorting through more stuff to get rid of. My aunt asked if she can have a yard sale here this weekend, and I agreed. I figure if she’s going to have one I’ll pull out some of the stuff I haven’t sold yet along with the other stuff I’ve been too lazy to go through.
We seriously have too much junk. Why do I need 6 Mp3 players anyway? We hardly ever use one! We also have way too much office furniture that we don’t use. I don’t need 3 desks, but I was too lazy to drag them out during the last yard sale. I figure for every item we bring in for the baby we need to get rid of 2 of our own items to make room/keep things de-cluttered. Hubby agrees, so that’s our new mission. Heck, if I can make some cash in the process that’s great, too, since Hubby’s still laid off.
He’s going to put in some applications today while we’re out paying bills. Hopefully I can knock out a few of the important things like utilities, and of course the truck taxes. So far I’ve been able to keep everything paid and up to date, so hopefully things will stay that way. I won’t really start worrying until I have to let something fall a month behind and/or get shut off.
Honestly I think at this point I’m spending more time worrying about us spending too much time at home together and driving each other crazy than I worry about the money situation. Go figure.
