It All Went Wrong

Today totally hasn’t been my day at all.  I guess I can say it actually started last night because I didn’t sleep hardly any at all.  Hubby tossed and turned all night, and that coupled with some wicked pregnancy heartburn kept me up, so needless to say I was already grumpy this morning.

Then what happens?  I wake up to find my cable is completely out.  Did I forget to pay the bill?  I checked my receipts and I had paid it like I suspected, so my next option was to make the dreaded phonecall to Charter.  After an hour of making the call, getting disconnected by the system, and making the call again I finally got through to someone to find out there was something going on in our area that I just had to wait out.

Waiting it out was ok except for the part that I couldn’t get any work done online, so I was stuck doing the offline stuff I’ve been putting off all week.  Oh well at least I got the stuff done before Hubby got home, and I don’t have to deal with it again.

When Hubby got home and offered to go get Chinese I thought things were looking up.  Oh boy was I wrong.  Our usual Chinese spot was packed, so Hubby suggested we try this new place downtown. First the waitress sloshed hot Wonton soup all over the table and us.  Of course she apologized, but it was hot!  Then I went to the bathroom to wash the mess off my arm only to find that none of the hand dryers worked. When I came back my egg roll had arrived, but it was cold like it had been sitting under a heat lamp that didn’t work for hours.

That was my breaking point, so I had a talk with the manager who apparently didn’t speak much English at all.  She kept giving me a puzzled look and saying “I sowwy I sowwy”.  We left that place and called in an order to our usual place so we could still enjoy some decent Chinese just at home this time.

Honestly now I’m glad to be back home, and I’m glad this day is almost over with.  We’re  supposed to meet up with some friends around 9 to do some bowling, but I don’t think I’m going to be much in the mood for it.  I may just sit this one out and tell Hubby he can go if he likes.  Honestly all I’d like to have right now is my nice warm comfy bed.
