It’s So Pretty

Today could not be a more beautiful day!  It’s already 74 degrees at 11am, and we could even hit 80 today.  You know that means I’m not going to be sitting inside on the pc all day.  I’ve got to get outside to enjoy this weather while it lasts because Thursday it’s supposed to get cold and rainy again.

I do have some things I do have to do inside this morning, though.  I’m trying to rush through my work.  Then I have to clean out my email, and that’s going to be rough.  I haven’t checked it all weekend, so I’m sure I have a good 2,000 emails piled up due to the various groups I’m a member of.

Of course I’ll also get a little sidetracked checking out all the sales emails for 50% off or wholesale lingerie, then there’s no telling how much junk mail I’ll have to go through. I’m trying to be a good girl who takes the time to remove myself from the junk mailing lists instead of just spamming the mail. Hopefully I can say I’ll be outside by 1pm, but I better get my butt in gear if I want to do that.

Starting The Day

As usual I didn’t do half the stuff I wanted to do yesterday, so let’s just make today’s list a little bigger.  I really hadn’t planned to do very much today because I wanted to spend plenty of time outside, maybe on the bike, but I just don’t feel so hot today.  I made the mistake of not taking any allergy meds last night before I decided sleeping with the windows open would be a great idea.  It would have been if I’d taken my meds.

Hubby just left to get us some breakfast, so after a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and an allergy pill I hope I start feeling better.  Then I’m going to lock the pets out of the bedroom and open up all windows in the bedroom and bathroom so I can clean out that nasty tub.  I’m hoping I can do it all at once, but the bleach smell could give me problems.  Chemical cleaners, especially those with a strong bleach smell usually give me a headache even if I’m wearing a mask.  I may start by spraying it on and letting it sit while I leave the room.  Then it shouldn’t be so bad if I have to do some scrubbing.

After I’m done with all that I’m hoping I can knock my grocery store trip out early today.  It seems like if we hit up the grocery store later on Sunday evening it’s always packed with the after church crowd stopping for groceries before heading home, and I hate dealing with a packed out store.  I end up forgetting to pick up half the stuff I need, and then I’m pissed when I have to keep making trips to the store to pick up something I forgot.

I also need to find a local store that sells self defense products because I was cleaning out my purse yesterday and realized my pepper spray is way past it’s expiration date. I’ve never actually bought the stuff for myself (my Dad used to bring it home from work for us girls), so I need to find out where to buy it.

I just heard Hubby pull up, so it’s time to go eat some breakfast!

Let’s Get It Done

I’m definitely not going to make it to the shower which starts in 15 minutes and is over an hour away.  So I guess it’s time to start working on the rest of the stuff I wanted to accomplish this weekend while Hubby’s still occupied with working on the car.

  • Clean the kitchen.
  • Give the dog a bath. Done
  • Wash the sheets I just put on the bed b/c the wet dog just rolled on the bed! Done
  • Clean out the medicine drawer since I know there are a ton of empty bottles from Bubba’s meds as well as a few bottles of diet pills we bought but never used.
  • Clean the tub with the Arm & Hammer Scrub Free stuff Jade recommended since even CLR wouldn’t remove the nasty hard water stains.  Maybe it’ll work.
  • Start packing up winter clothes, and pull out some summer clothes since it’s 76 out right now, and all our summer clothes are packed away.
  • Unpack a couple sweaters since I probably tossed everything in the storage bins and forgot I’ll probably need some winter stuff for a few more cold day.
