Sleep Where Are You?

Insomnia has set in once again. I really wish I could go to sleep, but if my body won’t let me I guess I’ll keep watching movies until I eventually pass out. It sucks being so awake and so bored. I scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom both sparkling clean even though I did that yesterday. I’m just that bored. Me, girl who hates to clean, is scrubbing things repeatedly. That’s when you know the insomnia is bad.

On a good note it’s nice and warm here though. We haven’t needed heat all week except the occasional use of my little floor heater when I got chilly a couple nights ago. Even then I ran it for about 20 minutes until I warmed up, then I turned it off and threw on a sweater.

Now it’s supposed to be around 72 tomorrow, and it feels so weird it being so warm right before Christmas. Of course it’s supposed to drop off chilly again on Christmas day, but we’re expecting highs in the 50s. There goes my hopes for Christmas snow. Who am I kidding? We never get Christmas snow. All you people getting snow right now make me jealous. I’d be happy with a few flurries even. Just send a little my way!

If I haven’t made it to sleep by morning I really need to remember to call my sister. I still have to pick up one more gift for her boyfriend, but I really don’t know what to get him. I’m going to swing by Gamestop tomorrow to pick up a gift card, so I might be able to get him a game for his xbox 360 if my sister will give me an idea of which ones he’s wanting. If nothing else I could pick up another gift card for him.

Ugh. I swear every year I plan to get my shopping done before December 1st, but every year something comes up and I end up scrambling to grab presents at CVS on Christmas Eve before the last store in town closes. Looks like this year is going to be a repeat if I can’t get everything bought this weekend.

Bleh. I’m going to pull up Netflix and find something else to watch. Maybe I can find something that will put me to sleep.
