Bleh Bleh Bleh

I’m sitting here shivering.  We’ve been running around all evening, and I’ve been chilled to the bone. We stopped by my best friend’s house for a few minutes since I haven’t seen her in over a month, but I just felt too horrible to stick around long.  Hubby played a few songs on Rock Band, then we headed home.

As soon as we walked in the door I sat down in my recliner, wrapped up in two blankets, and asked Hubby to build a fire.  Saturday was unseasonably warm, and now we’re seeing our first below freezing nights of the season.

As usual the change in temps has thrown my head into a loop again.  I can’t breathe, I’m sneezing like crazy, and I’ve got major sinus drainage going on.  It drains down my throat, chokes me, and then I end up puking up dinner.  Doesn’t it just sound wonderful?

My head feels like it’s on fire, but the rest of my body is shivering.  I think I might call it an early night tonight.  Heck I’m even tempted to pull out a sleeping bag and camp right in front of the wood stove.  It’d be one thing if my body was nice and healthy enough to fight back, but I’ve barely recovered from the cold bug we had last week.  I’m hoping I’m not getting a second run of that nasty stuff.

2pm Wild Turkey

When I said this was a bad week, I meant it.  My other blog is still down.  I don’t know wtf is going on with the server, and I’m about to pull my hair out.  Other than that at least the weekend hasn’t been too bad.

We spent all day yesterday at Hubby’s cousin’s wedding.  It was a beautiful wedding, and we got to see family from all over the country that we haven’t seen in a couple years.  The reception was in the restaurant at the hotel where the out of town family stayed, so after the reception was over we all headed back to the hotel for an impromptu family reunion.  We had a blast.

Of course, Uncle Bob buying rounds of Wild Turkey for the entire family definitely helped my mood.  I definitely married into a great family! lol  Oh, and Connie, I didn’t get drunk, but I did take your advice and have enough booze to feel pretty dang good for the rest of the day.

I do have photos, but I have to finish editing them.  My mother in law’s camera was cooperating, her batteries died shortly after we got to the reception, so I let her use my little Kodak.  She’s an awesome photographer, but the crappy camera mixed with horrible lighting in the ballroom made it almost impossible to get decent shots.  I’ll have to lighten up a lot of them and work what magic I can to make them decent.  I do have a pretty nice photo of the bride and groom.

Brian and Amy, you look so beautiful together!

Congrats, and I hope you’re having a super awesome time in Cancun right now!

Now I’m off to help my little sis-in-law do some research for a project she has due tomorrow.  She’s had all week to come up with a presentation relating the economy and history, and of course she waited until 9:30pm the night before it was due to work on it. I suggested she look up popular jobs over the last decade, and compare which jobs were more popular as the economy has changed. Of course, suggesting something like that roped me into also helping her!

What A Freakin’ Day

Oh my god why can’t this day be over all ready?  Seriously, why can’t this WEEK be over?

I’m still pissed off at the guy who owns the server my other blog is on.  Not only does he have me pissed off at him, but he’s got a whole bunch of customers ranting and raving right now.  It’s not exactly his fault that things went bad, but I feel like he’s taking his own sweet time getting things fixed.  He used to be on top of it, but now I think he’s taken on way more than he can handle.

Ugh, yeah I’m pissy.

There have been a ton of other things go down today that have just put us all in a bad mood. Now I’ve got to get everything finished that I haven’t done in the past few days while I was sick, then I’ve got to get in bed.  I have to be up bright and early in the morning so we can all be ready for Hubby’s cousin’s wedding.  We’ve got to leave here by 10am to make it there by noon for the wedding.  I so don’t even feel like going, but I can’t ditch B’s wedding.  He’d hate us forever.

I’ve got to throw Hubby’s clothes in the dryer, dry my hair, and then I’ve got to run out to CVS.  I ran out of foundation, and my face has erupted like a freakin’ volcano this week.  I’m definitely going to be powdered up for tomorrow.  It just sucks because it’s so freakin’ foggy tonight you can’t see 10 feet in front of you.  I might wait and stop in the morning.  I’m not driving, so I can definitely do my makeup in the car.

My mom called me freaking out over how foggy it is.  She said my cousin has been in the hospital since 3:30 today with appendicitis, but they still haven’t gotten him into an OR for surgery because there have been so many wrecks in this fog.  Yeah, I’m definitely not wanting to go back out again tonight.

PFFFFTTT!!!  If it wouldn’t cause my neighbors to freak out I’d run outside and scream right now!
