I stayed up late last night watching history take place. I couldn’t miss watching our first African American president being elected. I’m happy to see history like this taking place in my lifetime, and I’m ready for our country to come together to prove that we can make changes no matter what our views are.

Hubby woke up just as I was headed to bed, so I filled him in on what went on. We ended up staying up another hour just discussing everything, and we finally made it back to bed around 3am. I slept like a baby, but I slept late. I woke up at 11:30am dreading getting out of bed because I’ve got so much to do today.

I’m knocking out as much work as I can before 2. Then I have to stop to give the dog a bath. His skin has erupted again, and I have to wash him with his medicated wash. He’s absolutely terrified of the bath tub though, so the only way to give him a bath is to take him outside or use the waterless wash on him. Since I have to give him an actual bath, we’re going to run out for a quick one around 2pm when it should be 75 out. Then I’m going to run him back inside and put him on a towel in front of the heater until he dries. The poor thing shivers when he’s wet in 90 degree weather, so I hate giving him a bath any other time of the year.

Then I’ve got to sit on the phone with What On Earth to find out what’s going on with the birthday presents I ordered. Why did I pay for 2 day shipping of my order isn’t scheduled to arrive until November 10? I wanted them to show up in time for the recipients birthdays, not mine!

Sometime I have to run to my Mother-in-law’s. I promised her I’d give her some of my shipping boxes so she doesn’t have to make a trip out to get any, but I keep forgetting to take them over there. I have a ton of them stacked up in the guest room that I don’t really use that much, and she wants to list some stuff on Ebay.

I still have a huge list of stuff to do after that, too, so I better get to it! This is going to be a busy day with a very late start.
