My favorite time of the year is finally upon us. Not only do I think fall is the most beautiful season of the year, but who can complain about this weather? Although we’ve had a few unseasonably warm days this year, the fall temperatures are back in swing and feeling nice.
We also have Oktoberfest going on this weekend, and I look forward to that every year. Not only do we get to celebrate the heritage of our town, but I get to see people I haven’t seen in a long time. It’s a basic tradition. If you’ve moved out of state, you come home for Oktoberfest weekend.
We wanted to go to Oktoberfest last night, but we had some things come up that prevented that. Even though our festival is a small little town version, it’s still a great deal of fun. I’m going tonight, and I’m going to take my camera with me. I’ll definitely be getting some video because I have an awesome video of my hometown I will be sharing with you all in a few days. Maybe I’ll get lucky and even get to tape the fireworks. It just depends on if I can find my other compact flash cards.
For now I’m off to watch the football game and possibly take a nap. I had a late night last night, and I definitely haven’t had enough sleep yet.
