Oh how I count the days until I’m out of here…at least for the weekend. We used to take a trip to the beach every year, but the past couple of years have been a little tight for us budget-wise. That’s why it’s so nice to be able to take this trip now.
Hubby and I had a talk tonight. We were making a final list of what we need to take, going over directions since he’s never been to Edisto, and just talking about what we’re going to do on the trip. We agreed that even though we both really want children, we admit we wouldn’t be able to afford this trip at all right now if we did have a baby. We’d be spending our money on the typical baby necessities like the Maclaren stroller I like, diapers, a car seat, and don’t even get me started on the nursery.
We wouldn’t have the ability to take the dog with us if we had a baby in tow, and we wouldn’t be able to meet up and hang out with friends like we plan to do. As much as we want children we both agreed we definitely enjoy the freedom we have without them. We’ve agreed that we’re not going to try to force the beginnings of a family. It will happen when it happens, and we’re going to enjoy this time we have to do things like this right now.

Am I gaining weight or did my clothes just suddenly shrink? No, I think I’ve just gained the weight. I’m pulling out stuff this morning that I want to pack for the beach. I pulled out a couple swimsuit cover ups that I normally take with me, but when I put them on neither of them fit. Ugh. My mom would tell me I need an extreme fat burner that can burn off the pounds in a couple days. I think I shall just embrace the fact that I’m almost 27 years old, and my body is changing.
When we get back from the beach I am going to try to get myself back into a decent work out routine. I’ve been very slack, and I haven’t touched my Yoga dvd in a few weeks. I need to set up a specific time everyday to do my Yoga, then I need to get my bicycle back into shape. It needs a new chain and back tire before I can start riding again. The fall is when I love riding it the most though because the air is so crisp and clean. I can ride around my neighborhood checking out the changing leaves, snapping photos, and just enjoying myself. Yeah, I definitely need to get my bike back into shape so I can get myself back into shape.

I can’t believe Hubby. Does he think I’m totally stupid? lol
I sat down tonight at my computer and decided to do some organizing. I started to move stuff to my 500gb backup hard drive, but when I went to my computer my 500gb wasn’t showing up. That tends to happen from time to time, so I rebooted. Still not there. Ok, next step. Check for loose cable. I slid the cover off my case to check the cable an

no backup hard drive.
For a minute I thought to myself wtf, then it hit me. Hubby was complaining earlier about not having access to all my music since it’s a. stored on my backup drive and b. the network got screwed up last week and I haven’t fixed it yet.
His solution? Wait until I’m in the shower, then slip the hard drive out of my computer and into his. Sneaky sneaky but now he will pay *evil grin*.
