Steam Mopping
Before we headed to the party yesterday, we did do a little shopping. Hubby waited until the last minute to inform me he basically had nothing to wear. He ripped a huge hole in his favorite pair of shorts, and the only other pair he has that still fit are missing a button.
We made a trip to Burke’s to pick up some shorts for him. Then we headed out on a search for a tool we’re needing for the bike. We ended up at Big Lots, so I took the time to stock up on some cheap cleaning supplies. I also checked out their selection of vacuum cleaners. We don’t have any carpet in our house, but I’d still like to have a vacuum. I’m tired of taking down my curtains every couple weeks to wash them because I don’t have a way to zap them with the vacuum like I used to do.
I was actually hoping they had a steam mop because that’s what I really want, but I was out of luck there. A steam mop would be so great in this house because our entire house is floored in linoleum, and I’ve been watching all the late night infomercials for steam mops when I can’t sleep. I’m always trying to find some kind of natural cleaning method for all my household cleaning because of the pets. I normally clean the floors with either an all natural pet safe cleaner I have or a solution of vinegar and water, but Hubby HATES the smell of vinegar. I can’t clean the floors when he’s home or it makes him sick to his stomach.
Target has the Lysol Steam Mop for about $40, so I’m thinking of picking that one up next time I got to Anderson. I’m not making a special trip and wasting gas just to get the mop, so I’m going to keep looking around here to see what I can find. Otherwise I’ll be spending $80-$100 on a better model.
So, anyone else using a steam mop? Tell me how it’s cleaning your floors.
