Up The Hatch

It’s been an interesting day around the casa. I thought I was feeling better today even though I was still running a fever, but I quickly learned that wasn’t the case.
After spending most of the morning dealing with a few DYBS (no I won’t tell you what that means right now) I ended up finding myself back in the bathroom puking up my lunch. I’m not sure if it was the illness or the DYBS that brought on the puking this time. I’ll bet my sis-in-law would blame the DYBS.
Today is the first time I’ve eaten a full meal that didn’t consist of soup or jello, so I didn’t find it surprising that things came back up though.
Now I’m wide awake again, I feel like I’m having mega hot flashes, and I’m starving. I’m kind of afraid to eat anything, though. I just know if I do my stomach’s going to flop again. Suddenly I’m having cravings for Awful Waffle aka Waffle House though!
Not Looking Good
It’s been a weird week around here. I’ve been seriously sick, and that’s put a halt in a lot of things I wanted to do. On top of that we got some really bad news about Hubby’s grandma. The doctors have been telling us one side of her heart was about 80% blocked, and if she could get her body healthy enough they could do the surgery.
That’s not going to happen. Last week she started acting senile. She’s done this before, and it’s a sign she’s not getting enough oxygen to her brain. She will repeat the same sentence 3 or 4 times in a row, or she’ll talk about something from years ago as it’s present day. She doesn’t have Alzheimer’s. Her brain just can’t handle the lack of oxygen.
When this started the doctors ran more tests, and now they see that the other side of her heart is 90% blocked. How they missed it I don’t know. All I know is she’s not doing well at all. She’s also a diabetic, and her legs have swollen to the point she can’t walk. The doctors have no chance of doing the surgery. Before they were giving her 6 months to live without the surgery, and much longer with it. Now the doctors are telling us she could die within the week or it could be months. They honestly don’t know.
It’s a sad situation. We found out by accident she would probably be healthy right now, but when she lived in Alabama she wouldn’t cooperate with her doctors. She convinced herself they were all wrong about her condition, and she was better off taking care of herself. Her main reason for wanting to move here was the fact that no one would treat her any longer there. We wanted to move her up here anyway so we’d have her close to family where we can all take care of her, but her main reason for wanting to move was the fact she knew she couldn’t get medical attention there.
I want to go see her, but I don’t want to risk taking my germs into Hospice. Hubby is going to see her tonight, but I’m still running a fever. If my fever breaks I’ll go see her, but I don’t want to chance passing along something that her body can’t fight off.

Scorpio Chickie
I saw this at Fairy Dancing, and well I’m just bored enough to give it a try right now. Most of the time I completely agree with everything said about the Scorpio, and I think it fits me very well.
This time, not so much. I think about half of these fit me. Which half? You’ll have to figure that out for yourself.

Oh Nos The Power Goes!
I decided to take a break from sorting scrap kits. I did a little shopping, bought a few things I’ve really wanted. Then I headed over to Amazon to see if they had the steam mop I want any cheaper than Target. They didn’t. I took a look at some cute baby bedding that I love even though I don’t have a need for it. I especially love the Star Baby set since I’m all about celestial stuff. My time clock is ticking away doing a number on me tonight screaming baby please!
I got fed up with looking at all the stuff I’d love to buy for my babies if I had any, so I loaded up Yahoo Games, and after 5 minutes of the typical problems I finally made it into a game of Towers. I played 2 rounds and lost big time. On the third game I got in my groove. I was kicking major towers butt, and then it happened.
The lights blinked and both computers start rebooting. Stupid power company. Our lights have flickered every night for the past couple weeks, and the power company can’t give us an explanation. It’s not like it’s a little flicker. My pc’s can handle that. It’s not enough to completely shut everything off for a second, but it’s enough to cause my computers to feel the need for a reboot. I think I shall call and complain again.
