‘Ole Smoky

Ok, incase your wondering I decided to tell you what the photo from my Wordless Wednesday post is all about.  It’s from our trip to Deal’s Gap last Saturday.  As we were driving up 441, it was still pretty early (around 8:30am), and I just absolutely love the way the clouds/fog roll off the mountains that early.

They don’t call them the Smoky Mountains for nothing!

When I saw us coming up on that mountain with the big billowing cloud it totally reminded me of a volcano!

Is It Wrong To Confide In A Friend?

When my husband and I are having an argument, I keep it out of my blogs. Everyone fights from time to time, so I may mention that we’re having a fight, but I don’t discuss details. Whatever happens between us is private, and I believe it should be kept that way.

If I need advice on anything I do what most women do. I turn to my close female friends for advice on things I may not know or understand.

A friend and I were discussing this today. We both wondered what is too much to tell share with your close friends? This all came about when a friend of ours confided in us about a fight she had with her husband. The wife gave us details about the fight, and then she asked us for advice knowing we’d probably been through the situation before.

All was well until the husband snooped in the wife’s phone after she went to bed. He read all the messages she sent to us, and that pissed him off even more because he doesn’t think she should be telling her female friends her business.

My husband and I have an understanding. I believe if I want to confide in my best friend so I don’t bottle things up inside, I have that right. She’s my best friend. She’s there to listen and help me through my situations.

I also believe deliberately snooping in the wife’s phone is uncalled for. I’m open with my husband. We share texts we receive with each other, but neither of us believe it’s ok to snoop through each other’s messages without permission. There has to be at least a bit of privacy in everyone’s life.

How do you feel about it?
