Picking Up New Motorcycle Threads

Just when I thought it was warming up enough to enjoy a nice bike ride without a ton of winter gear, it got cold again. We got a couple hours of riding in today, but I froze my butt off. That’s because I couldn’t find any of my Under Armour shirts. I almost always wear Under Armour under my jacket or leathers when it’s cold because it keeps the heat close to your body. You wouldn’t believe the difference it makes. I bought 3 shirts at the beginning of the cold season because my best friend recommended them to me. I’m sure glad I did!

I’m still frozen to the bone right now, so that reminded me that I should go ahead and stock up on cold weather gear right now because with it beginning to warm up everyone will start having sales on the cold weather stuff. I definitely want to invest in an Under Armour Cold Gear Tactical Hood this year that I can wear under my helmet to protect my head from the cold.

LAPolicegear.com, the site that sells a ton of SWAT gear has one I really like, and it’s only $25. They’ve also got a ton of Under Armour heat gear, and that’s something I might want to invest in for the summer. Do you know how much I sweat the dead heat of the summer in leathers? The Under Armour heat gear pulls moisture away from your body, and leaves it on the outside of the shirt or pants so it can evaporate. Yeah, I really want some of those, so I’ll have to save up a little extra cash.

They Won!

Yay!  The Jabbawockeez won!

Now the TV is off once again, and I’m off to try to work on some of my blogs.  I feel the need to find some awesome templates for my blogger blogs.

Last Episode of America’s Best Dance Crew Tonight

I’ll tell you up front that I don’t watch a lot of TV, and I watch even less now that there are so many reality and competition type shows out there. Most of them just aren’t for me. I watched the first couple of seasons of American Idol, but as time went on I got tired of that, too. This year I didn’t tune in once because I didn’t agree with the fact that some of the people on the show this year have already had their shot at fame.

Anywho, I am I sucker for street dancing, though. When I saw the previews for America’s Best Dance Crew I figured it was going to be a copycat of so many of the dancing movies out there, but I decided I’d check it out. I admit it only took a couple episodes for me to be hooked. The final episode is tonight, and I’m happy to say my pick has made it all the way. It’s coming down to the wire, and I’m just hoping the Jabbawockeez come out as winners tonight. I honestly think they’re the best crew on the show.

I’d love to be able to show you the video from last week’s performance because it was totally awesome, but of course it’s copyrighted, so Viacom had it pulled from Youtube. What I can show you however is a performance they did back in 2003. They were awesome then, so you can imagine how much better they are now!

Good luck Jabbawockeez! You definitely got my vote! The show airs on MTV at 10pm EST, so I’ve got about 13 minutes to grab me a snack before the last episode. I’ll try to drop back by my blog afterwards to post the winner.

Cracking Down On My Pepsi Points

I really need to start saving my Pepsi Stuff points. Seriously we go through at least two 2 liter bottles in this house a day, and more often than not it’s Wild Cherry Pepsi. The only time it’s not Pepsi is when I luck up and get Cheerwine at a good price (yep total southern love there baby) or hubby grabs Dr. Pepper because they were out of Wild Cherry Pepsi.

I already know I’m horrible when it comes to saving things like points on drink caps, so this time I had devised a plan. I bought a little notebook, and I had planned to write down the code every time I opened a new bottle. Then when I had 10 or 15 codes to enter I would knock them all out at once.

That didn’t work. I completely forget to write down my codes, and by the time I remember the bottle is already gone. Bubba loves bottles, so he chases them around the house until he flattens them. The caps go to Alley because he’s the weirdest cat I’ve ever seen. The only thing he’ll play with are bottle caps. He’s got a whole basket of them, and he bats them around the house. Yes I do know what it feels like to step on a bottle cap in the middle of the night while feeling my way to the bathroom!

Anyway I went through Alley’s basket of caps this afternoon, and I was able to dig out 13 points. I had another cap laying on my desk, 3 written in my notebook yet to be entered, and another 2 liter in the fridge. 1 more point and I’ll have myself 4 free mp3 downloads.

I know these little points programs companies use are marketing programs to turn people onto their product, and I know that a lot of people will even change their beverage of choice just to get the prizes. I’m not one of those people. You won’t see me going out to buy a ton of coke products because coke has points, but the Pepsi stuff I can do.  There’s no telling how many points I’ve thrown away because I just didn’t take the time to grab the code.  *imagines all those extra mp3s I could have right now*
